Front Plate Module

A front plate module is that part of a test point module that includes the mating connector to the adaption of a unit under test (UUT). It is visible from the outside and can be placed—depending on the test system—on the front or on the rear of a test system.

The front plate module is connected with the test point card via a standardized connector plug. This allows the usage of different output connectors while keeping consistent test point cards.

Therefore, the integrated connector needs to meet the requirements of the individual testing conditions: plugs for a low voltage test consider other aspects than for example plugs for a high voltage test.

Not every pin in the output plug is a test point; in multi-terminal output connectors pins can be free.

Besides a range of pre-configured standard front plate modules, from time to time special modules are developed and built to meet individual requirements.
