Switching Matrix

Initially the term matrix describes the arrangement of individual elements in an orderly, regular shape.

In the case of the WEETECH's test systems, switching matrix stands for the entirety of all test points. It is often referred to simply as a matrix or also as a test point matrix.

Depending on the model on a test point card the individual test points are connected through relays or transistors with the generators. The measurement units CMU* and VMU* are located in-between. A variety of different options for connections as well as the variation of current and/or voltage enable a broad range of measuring and testing options per test point.

In today's systems from WEETECH a distinction is made between the single point matrix and the dual point matrix.

*VMU = Voltage Measurement
