Calibration

Calibration is the process for reproducible determination and documentation of the deviation of a measurement device to another one, the comparison standard.

At test systems from WEETECH the procedure for the calibration is defined in the integrated diagnostics function (see diagnostics). As a part of this procedure generator, measurement units as well as insulation and transfer resistances for each test point in the switching matrix are validated.

WEETECH runs this procedure on every single test system before delivery and depending on requirements and areas of operations it should be repeated on a regular base.

Besides this relatively extensive procedure, it is additionally possible to validate the test system with the help of a defined unit under test (UUT) also known as the “golden sample”. This is a simple method to validate the proper functioning of a system within shorter periods, e.g. on a daily base or at the production start of a new batch.
