HV-DC is the abbreviation for High Voltage Direct Current.
The HV-DC test is a high voltage test determines through multiple measurement methods the insulation resistance between two measurement points (quantitatively).
In the HV-DC test the high voltage test systems from WEETECH supply a programmed voltage and measure the insulation current. The resulting insulation resistance is compared to the programmed threshold value. In case the measured resistance value is higher than the threshold value, the test is rated as PASS, if lower as FAIL. An arc can appear by using the direct current, too. This case will be rated - similar to the HV-AC test - as a failure in the unit under test (UUT) as well.
The maximum value of the test voltage depends on the integrated generator and the used test point module.
